Discusses strengthening economic ties with Egypt

In order to discuss the strengthening of economic ties with Egypt, on September 21, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Egypt to Latvia (with residence in Stockholm) Ahmed Adel visited the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) on a working visit.

During the meeting with LCCI board member Jānis Lielpēters and Natālija Juškova, Deputy Director of Foreign Affairs, export and import promotion activities were discussed. The ambassador mentioned the export of cereals, essential oils, fruits, including citrus fruits to Latvia. Also, the potential for cooperation in the fields of energy and renewable energy resources was highlighted during the conversation.

It should be noted that LCCI is already involved in establishing cooperation with Egypt. LCCI's representative in Egypt is Omar El Derini, who provides advice and support and has already helped LCCI members enter the Egyptian market.
