About the project
Aim of Q-Placements project:
To improve the quality of national and transnational work placements, apprenticeships, other forms of WBL through:
- Better coopeation between VET and enterprises/host companies;
- Better skills of tutors from VET and tutors from host companies to provide support and guidance to VET trainees before, during and after placements
Project period:
November 2013 – October 2015
Project steps:
- Needs analysis and research: describing current systems of organization of placements, cooperation between VET and host companies, context of national VET QA systems and EQAVET;
- Developing Q-Placements Training methodology;
Organizing European Train-the-Trainer Workshop - Joint training workshops for tutors from VET and tutors from host companies in LV, NL, ES, SL
- Testing acquired skills in real work placements in partner countries;
Seminars with policy and decision-makers
Project outputs:
- Overview of current VET quality assurance in LV, ES, SL, NL
- Tested methodology and training programme for VET and host company tutors supervising placements;
- Lead-Trainers in each partner country; Trained tutors from VET and host companies with better skills of cooperation, with skills of ensuring better quality of placements;
- Methodological material, guidelines for improving quality of placements;
- Recommendations, proposals for improved procedures, policies, etc.;
