On Tuesday, September 5, LCCI together with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine and the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia organized a business forum for food and furniture manufacturing companies.
In it, Ukrainian entrepreneurs had the opportunity to learn about the food and furniture production industry in Latvia, product certification and issues related to packaging, business culture in Latvia, etc. But already in the afternoon, specific potential cooperation was discussed in bilateral (B2B) talks to bring Ukraine closer to the European Union's single market.
Līga Sičeva, head of the European Union project department of LCCI:
"In the first part of the day, Ukrainian entrepreneurs had the opportunity to directly and indirectly receive important information about business integration into the European Union markets. In the second part of the day, each entrepreneur had at least two meetings with Latvian companies to discuss possible cooperation."
It should be noted that the study visit of Ukrainian food and furniture manufacturers to Latvia will continue until September 8, and during that time the guests will visit companies in order to continue building potential economic relations with Latvian companies.
