Silver Entrepreneurs training in Finland concludes
03.02.2025
In November, Silver Entrepreneurs took part in an intensive 3-day training session in Tampere, Finland. The participants were hosted by Tampere University of Applied Sciences (TAMK), bringing together representatives from Latvia, Finland and Sweden. During the session, participants actively worked on developing their ideas, acquiring both theoretical and practical knowledge.
The training included both inspiring lectures and practical workshops. Participants learned how to develop appropriate marketing plans, how to network successfully and how to strengthen their sales skills. The sessions helped participants to identify their strengths and weaknesses, while working on their own ideas.
Participants actively used the opportunities to network and foster new local and international collaborations. The training provided an excellent platform to develop skills and build sustainable networks.
Participants had the opportunity to meet a wide range of Finnish entrepreneurs, from small businesses offering hotel services, home producers making chocolate and coffee to large companies offering innovative solutions such as quiet office cubicles. Tampere’s business organisation also shared its experience, explaining how the city has successfully developed its business environment by attracting new businesses and supporting existing ones. Successful policies have made Tampere a dynamic and development-oriented city.
Representatives from Latvia, Finland and Sweden actively shared their experiences and engaged in discussions. They appreciated the knowledge and opportunities provided by the training session, which contributed significantly to the development of their projects.
The project will continue with local trainings, culminating in a competition where participants will present their projects. The project will culminate in a final event in Latvia, where the participants will present their best projects. At this event they will share their stories and experiences. The event will also involve other stakeholders to stimulate discussion and promote initiatives focusing on healthy and active ageing.
The project is implemented under the Central Baltic Programme.
