Arbitration

The LCCI Court of Arbitration, established by the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), is an independent institution offering an efficient and expedited alternative for dispute resolution outside the general court system. Specializing in commercial and civil disputes, the Court ensures that disagreements between businesses and other parties are resolved fairly, confidentially, and with legally binding results.

The key advantage of the LCCI Court of Arbitration lies in its flexibility and speed—decisions are made within shorter timeframes compared to public courts, allowing businesses to resolve disputes quickly and continue their operations. The Court offers professional, experienced arbitrators who understand business specifics and can deliver fair and high-quality judgments.

Location:

The LCCI Court of Arbitration is located at 35 Kr. Valdemara Street, Riga, Latvia.

The LCCI Court of Arbitration addresses both local and international civil disputes. It is available to businesses and individuals who have included the LCCI Arbitration Clause in their contracts.

The Court is committed to supporting the interests of the parties involved by ensuring swift procedures and reasonable arbitration costs.

Internationally recognized principles of arbitration—confidentiality, reasonable processing times, and party autonomy in selecting arbitrators, language, venue, and procedural format—make the LCCI Court of Arbitration an effective alternative to general jurisdiction courts.

Mediation is a voluntary process whereby disputing parties work with a neutral third party to reach a constructive solution to their conflict. It is an alternative and supplement to the court process, playing an increasingly vital role in resolving disputes. Mediation aims for each party to reach outcomes that address their interests without any “losers.” Through mediation, disputes can often be resolved faster or even avoided.

LCCI offers commercial dispute mediation services in accordance with the LTRK Mediation Rules. (The Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LTRK) is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting business interests and promoting business development in Latvia.)
