This week, on February 27 and 28, the meeting of the presidency of the European Chambers of Commerce and Industry Association Eurochambres will take place in Warsaw, which will also be attended by representatives of the Latvian Chamber of Commerce – President, Vice-President of Eurochambres Aigars Rostovskis and Board Member, Director of Foreign Affairs Katrīna Zariņa. During the visit, the expansion of the cooperation network and meetings with representatives of other European Chambers of Commerce and Industry are also taking place in Warsaw.
One of the foreign affairs priorities of the Latvian Chamber of Commerce this year is the establishment of new cooperation between chambers and the development of the Memorandum of Understanding network. In order to promote international trade and business partnerships, create opportunities for member growth, promote the expansion of business relations and improve market access for members of both sides, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed during the visit to Warsaw with Juho Romakkaniemi, Director of the Finnish Chamber of Commerce, and Wouter Van Gulck, Director of the Belgian Chamber of Commerce.
At the Eurochambres presidency meeting, those present discussed the current pressing issues – what kind of Europe do we want to build together and how can we catch up with the rest of the world. Participants also spoke about the political and economic situation both in Europe and in the world.
