About project

The European Union is tackling the green and digital transformations at the same time—two shifts that call for new sustainable business models and professionals who are skilled in AI and green technologies. Accelerating digitalisation, rapid progress in AI, and the growing impacts of climate change make strong cooperation between education providers and businesses essential, so that people gain labour-market-relevant competences, organisations strengthen their innovation capacity, and practical solutions are developed for a sustainable economy. This project helps close that gap by delivering a cross-sectoral, practice-based, and future-oriented approach that supports competitiveness, sustainability, and socially responsible development across Europe.

The project focuses on building competences for designing sustainable and circular-economy-driven business models in a range of EU industries, with digitalisation serving as a key catalyst for green business growth. It will also increase the ability of participating organisations to support the uptake of digitalisation and prepare future professionals with robust AI competences, while encouraging the creation of sustainable solutions.

Project activities

Within the project, an innovative methodology and a micro-credential education programme will be developed, focusing on sustainable business model innovation enabled by artificial intelligence. The project will drive innovation through an integrated cross-sectoral approach that brings together modern pedagogy, up-to-date content, and a distinctive learning setting provided by the Sustainable Business Metaverse Incubator.
